Slint Funding & Hiring
We're delighted to announce that we've secured funding for SixtyFPS GmbH, the company behind Slint. We've raised a six-digit seed funding to expand our team: For product development, sales, and business development.
Slint is a fresh approach to GUI development written in Rust, but with bindings to C++ and JavaScript as well, providing a full UI for the full range of systems from micro-controllers all the way up to workstations. Slint is available as open source, as well as under a commercial license.
The investment was led by a privately held company in Germany. We know each other well, and they believe that we have the right ingredients to make Slint a successful business.
We're a small, engineering-driven company without any red tape, a direct feedback culture, and a small but experienced team of developers. Would you like to work on a a product that covers low-level graphics rendering, compiler design - all the way up to widget and UI design? Are you comfortable working in an Open Source environment? Supporting Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and bare-metal systems, Slint features an easy-to-learn domain-specific language (DSL) that compiles into native code, optimizing for the target device's capabilities. It facilitates collaboration between designers and developers on shared projects and supports business logic development in Rust, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
